Insurance Advisor - Spider are pleased to be supporting a family-run business based in Ipswich, in their search for an Insurance Advisor, to join their hospitality division. Our client provides their customers with insurance and risk management solutions, tailor-made to their specific requirements. The Insurance Advisor will have gained experience of a range of personal lines or commercial insurance products as well as being friendly, confident and willing to learn.

As the successful Insurance Advisor, you will provide support to all customers (new and existing) both with queries as well as cross selling and up-selling, having assessed their specific needs. Generating appropriate levels of new business from enquiries. You will also be responsible for completing all administration in accordance with company procedure and standards.

The Insurance Advisor role includes the following key responsibilities:

- Answer incoming calls within an agreed time-frame in a polite and courteous manner
- Identify the requirements of the customer and provide a suitable insurance solution
- Build and maintain working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Represent the company at business to business events and with insurers
- Act upon initiative to solve basic problems and resolve minor complaints
- Maintain own CPD and training log, following company check-in procedures
- Achieve company's sales targets for new business and cross sales

Skills and attributes required:

- Able to work competently with main broking and support systems software (after training)
- Organised and able to prioritise work effectively
- Demonstrative experience in a range of Personal Lines and/ or commercial insurance products
- Working knowledge of the Data Protection Act
- Competent user of Microsoft Office packages and general office equipment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs grade A-C (or equivalent) including Maths and English
- Knowledge of High Net Worth and Commercial Property insurance is desirable
- Knowledge of CDL and Acturis is also desirable

This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, with a salary of £17,500 on offer to the ideal candidate. However, this may be negotiable dependent on candidate's experience and expertise.
